  • The course covers the five positions of traditional Thai Massage Wat Po style (Lying on the back, lying on the side, lying on stomach – prone -, lying on the back and sitting position). 
  • It teaches a two hour massage of deep acupressure along the energy lines and the proper use of body weight using thumbs, palms, elbows, knees and feet. 
  • A one hour therapeutic massage to treat lower backpain is taught. 
  • A therapeutic hot medical herbal compress massage will be learned, to treat amongst others muscle pain.

Course of traditional Thai Massage with medical hot compress

A full body massage given on a mat on the floor that combines the techniques of traditional Thai massage with Thai herbal hot compress; bundles that are steamed and pressed on the body. In traditional Thai medicine, herbs are used to complement massages that treat illnesses. This herbal hot compress massage increases blood circulation and energy flow, relaxes, warms, releases tension, relieves stiff muscles and joints, eases chronic pain and reduces mental fatigue and stress.

Upon completion students will be able to perform an effective southern style 1,5 to 2 hours traditional Thai massage with hot medical herbal compress treatment

Course of therapeutic Massage for Headache or Backache or Pain in Arms or Stiffness in Leg

A full body massage given on a mat on the floor that focuses on the affected area. While using the Thai massage technique pressure is applied on the acupressure points to relieve ailments such as headache, backache, pain in arms (like RSI) and stiffness in legs caused by various conditions of physical and mental stress.

Upon completion students will be able to perform one effective southern style 1 hour therapeutic Thai massage

  • The course expands on the techniques learned in Level 1 to cover the Side, Back and Sitting Position. 
  • It teaches advanced yoga-like stretching movements. 

Upon completion students will have a substantial foundation of the major positions of Thai Massage and will be able to perform a comprehensive 1,5-3 hour Thai Massage.

Information about Koh Chang

Undisturbed rain forest
